Any idea what the Apple weather app is trying to convey?
If it’s “0%” of rain/lightning then what is the weather app telling me?

Altho' the question shows up in several apple app forums, as usual, no one has an answer, and apple itself never enters the fray. I'm betting your app icon means there will be storms in the area, but 0% rain in the specific location where your phone is now.
In the 1890s, the New York Times put a weather forecast on the front page of every issue. A frequent forecast was "Possibility of showers".
It was usually right!
Indeed it is.Hmm, I had never noticed that before, but looking at my Apple Weather app just now, I see there is a 0% chance of rain/lightening. Weird.

Is that possible?Maybe lightning, but no rain?

I’ve seen it too over water where lightning is happening hundreds of miles away but because of the curvature the earth you see the sky lighting up.I've seen it in Atlanta.
Dry lightning?Is that possible?
Maybe but I don’t think dry lighting would happen in the location I’m in.Dry lightning?
