I just installed new carpet in my 1961 BT7. I got it from Coverdale of UK. It is such a great improvement. A few of the pieces have to be cut to fit but it is worth it. I think it is a great carpet for a driver. I got the Wessex wool dark blue WBLL. Before and after picture

What happened to the ashtray??? I deleted mine when I installed the new carpets. Makes removing the center carpet so much easier.

Looks great, and probably, smells good too! Removal of the seat runners is a bear of a job. Were the seat track runner wood and metal packing pieces in good shapes and re-used?

Yes,,, there is wood under the seat rails. I don't have any reason to think it isn't original. I removed the seat frame but not the rails during install.

I cut my ashtray today. Not that anybody is going to smoke in my car.

I use my Healey's ashtray to collect the miscellaneous loose hardware I find in the car when detailing it. Eventually some of it may come in handy, but it's amazing how much hardware a car can shed before something stops working or falls out!
