As micrometers go, mine are Starrett primarily, with a couple of Pratt & Whitney and a Lufkin one. The Lufkin is a 0"~1/2" mic kept with the Lotus, Alfa & Jag valve shim collections. Pre-hurricane shot of that drawer for insurance purposes:

Automotive tools? Like "Licorice Allsorts"! Proto, Snap-On, Craftsman, Mac... Whatever does the job.

Old tools... I've got many of my father's and grandfather's tools, dad was an EE, Grandad a millwright. Those tools have served me well, are considered irreplaceable and priceless. To me at least.

Pro'lly even have screw-sticks old enuff to properly fit Tom's fasteners.

We were scrambling to figure out how to prep the Hovel for what looked like THE Storm. We'd been planning a roof replacement for the 17 year-old one earlier in the year, that became another concern. Ran around taking photos of our contents and packing documents, etc. for "rapid deployment" if necessary. We were lucky, Port Charlotte not so much.

Had the roof replaced last week, no insurance claim involved. Feel fortunate for that, too, as now we can apply a discount instead of a policy increase!
