Went downtown to the DMV office today,to transfer the Celica.
NO ONE in line.Clerk tells me to come to the counter.I tell her I want
to transfer a vehicle. She asks "Do you have an appointment?".I say "NO".
She says "You have to make an appointment".
I go home, fire up the computer, wade through lots of in formation,
until I finally find the "Make an Appointment" link, only to find that DMV-
office (satellite office) doesn't show up in the "Locations" list.Went through
a few more times to re-check.Doesn't work.No phone number to try and
report the problem either. The website says that they do "walk-ins" also.
Plus, they charge $5 for in person transactions.
I thought about mailing it in,but our main goes to North Carolina
first,& can sometimes take a long time.I ended up making an appointment
20 miles away,at another office. It for tomorrow morning.
I HATE IT when they want you to do everything online.

Two of my favorite Simpson’s characters are Marge’s sisters!

Sorry - and hope all works out well in the end. How is the car running?

They also don't take into account the fact that not everyone HAS "online" - what are the people who live in non-internet served areas supposed to do to make their appointments?

Here in CA, there is a kiosk in the DMV office where you can make an appointment.

So you have to GO there to make an appointment to GO there again?!? o_O

Went to the DMV in Rocky Mount this morning
(where I had an appointment).Almost nobody in there,
& they took me before my appt.Found out that the Wife
& I hadn't signed on one of the lines (our fault).
Got the title signed,& went back to the downtown
branch. Was told they weren't open on Tuesday or Thursday.
Went to the main DMV office, found a parking place right in-
front.Almost nobody in there.About 10 minutes later,I was on
my way, just like the guy in the commercials!
Thus ends another chapter of "THE CURSE OF THE DMV"

Not sure if you ever saw the movie Zooptopia?
