Greetings from Alberta, Canada. I'm not only new here but new to British cars as well. I've always liked the look of a lot of British cars, but until I saw this Devon, I didn't know they existed. It is in very poor condition, dents everywhere, drivetrain and suspension are all shot, rusty floors and sills, but very little body rust. I tried to ignore it for quite a while as I didn't really want this involved of a project, but I just couldn't pass on it. I'm planning to modify all the suspension and drivetrain, but I want it to look fairly stock. It won't be on the road for a long time to come, but I'm hoping it will be worth it in the end. I'm hoping to learn lots along the way.

great project! and it astonishes me how many are still around. Not sure your plans but there are a lot converted to gassers (hint hint)

While I appreciate all the skill that goes into building a gasser, I'm not a gasser guy. The easier route would be a rat rod but that's not my thing either. what I want is to build a comfortable little daily driver level car that I can cruise around the local area with the family, give it a fairly stock looking body, maybe lowered a little, and upgrade the suspension and drivetrain with just a little more power.
At the risk of totally alienating myself right off the hop, I want to make it electric. My #1 bucket list dream is to build an EV. I have the EV parts parts already, except the battery. It's an old kit, so this car seems to be a good fit in my mind. I'm sure this will be my last chance to make it happen and I want it to be something totally unique.
 
sounds like a great and interesting project - This seems particularly suited to an EV as it isn't undoing anything to make it happen.
