It's crunch time at the Kelly abode
2 days till we're out of here. The packers are coming tomorrow, still not quite ready. Still working on all the paper and internet work on SWMBO's retirement(Beginning to wonder if it's worth the trouble to retire). Working on questions with the new house. Also trying to still put the arrangements in order to get our dog to the island.

I'm overly stressed, haven't slept well, cranky, Grumpy... you name it
I have to come up with a value on the stuff we are shipping to the new location. The used stuff is garage sale value>
Never garaged sale before ...Have no idea. Tuesday we stay at a hotel after dropping the dog at a kennel . Fly to the island for 5 days. Fly back here stay again in a hotel. Next dy pick up a dog and drive back to the neighborhood . Pick up stuff we are storing at neighbors house ,. Stuff for my son, luggage, Wine and liquor I will most definitely need. Then drive to Clarksville to drop stuff of with son and say so long for a while.
3 days later head to Miami to shop , sell my Ody and prepare to get our dog on a flight and then us and hopefully meet up on the Honduran mainland

I do not recommend to Sell, retire and build in a new location ll at the same time :cryin::driving::scared:

Headaches come with any move - and major headaches come with a huge odyssey like you're going through. You're a lucky man to have friends, neighbors, and family to help - and such a beautiful new home to recover in!

One economy-size bottle of aspirin on the way.

I feel your pain. When I was in the military we had to pull up stakes and move, on average about every 4 years. One time, when we moved from Keesler AFB in Mississippi to Hill AFB Utah, we had all our worldly possessions placed in a big storage unit off base as we decided to take a couple weeks leave to visit family in Denver. About mid-way through our leave, my "sponsor" with some "bad news." That area of Utah had experienced of of the strongest wind storms in its history. One result of that was the storage unit all our stull was in was destroyed, along with a good portion of our stuff. The stuff that wasn't destroyed was full of sand and dirt. Every box of clothes, all our appliances, the television, etc.

Looks like he's still got his bags packed.

And after all the travel - you're home now!

(Reminds me of an old Red Skelton joke.)

We’ll worth al the stress. Best of luck in your new home. Pam and I have discussed it often, but just can’t leave the daughter and granddaughter.
