First, let me state up front, I have no illusions that this is a great image. I'm sure it can be picked apart technically in a lot of ways. But this is a picture that started as a color image, which I made B&W. Then, just for fun, I used luminance masking to select various luminance ranges to independently adjust exposure. It's certainly nothing on the order of what Adams could achieve in the dark room, but it was fun to play around with different "Zones" to achieve a look I was happy with.

Thanks. It was one in which I used a Hoya NDX400 (9-stop) ND filter to allow slower shutter speed (6 seconds) to smooth the clouds and the water.
