Our son worked the night shift front desk at a fancy hotel in La Jolla. When the valet got a stick shift, he would come in and get my son to park it (he drove a bugeye). He says he got to drive some really cool cars. That was more than 30 years ago.

was at a wedding on Saturday and they were shuttling guests from the reception parking lot to the site of the ceremony - one of the (20 something) groomsman drove mrs JP and I - stick shift in a Subaru SUV - I was impressed.
