Ain't that the truth. While I do make calls and text, generally when outside moving around, it's in my pocket. I have no need to play game or watch tv/movies as I walk around the grocery store, mow the lawn or other activities. In fact, don't do that when sitting down either. I prefer to talk to the lady I'm with rather than text 2 feet away...

There's a high school about a block from us.
I've seen students walking up the hill from there-
(no sidewalks) head down,& staring at there phone.

Once, when I was a kid in grade school, I ran smack into a street lamp pole while reading a Superman comic. WHAM! Ouch!

two men walk into a bar - ouch!

(In high school I was adjusting my school bag and rode my bike into the back of a parked car - on the bright side it straightened the forks on my bike which had been previously stolen and recovered)

I did the same thing in high school. Mom wanted me to run down to the local U-Totum store (like a 7-11) which was about 1/2 mile down the street. I wanted to get there and get back as fast as I could (don't remember what my rush was), so I put my head down and started cranking by Peugeot 12-speed as fast as I could. Did I mention I put my head down? There were normally never cars parked on the side of the road I was on, but this day there was a Blue 69 Camero. All of the sudden I found myself airborne, landing on my butt in front of the parked Camero. I still have the indentation in my shine from where the small, round gear lever (just a 1/4" or so piece of round bar) on my handle bars empaled my leg and broke off.

Ouch mine wasn't nearly that bad (though there were others  ) - you were clearly surprised - TBH I was still in the school parking lot :ROFLMAO:
