Now I know what I need to become a phenomenal photographer is just the right equipment.

And if you want to be a phenomenal driver, get a Porsche. 😉

"honestly, all of those features just kind of get in my way"

Bingo!

Nothing fancy about my trusty 1959 Voigtlander -

Well, ok - it does have a photocell.

wow - that brings back memories. Never saw one of those with a "shutter" - we just put the unexposed (home made) photo paper in the box end, covered it all with a black cloth, and exposed the paper by removing the cloth that covered the pinhole.

I messed around with a pinhole a couple of years back. I should go dig it out.

We've a Leica IIIc in the "Eyewash" collection. May have run three or four rolls of film thru it. Clumsy and outdated when I got it in my late teens. I've run into more than a few Leica folks exhibiting attitudes akin to those parodied in the video, too.

My G.A.S. symptoms had been dormant for decades until recently. Flared up again in concurrence with the virus outbreak for some strange reason.
