Hello to All from Dave888. I have been a British car enthusiast since 1967. In that year, I bought a 1962 TR4. I parked it in 1969 when Uncle Sam sent me to Southeast Asia and during that time, my brother totaled it. Due to university, a family, and working, I didn't get back into another Triumph until 1986 when I purchased a 76 TR6 which I still drive today, While I had the 76 in the shop for some engine work last year, I bought a 72 TR6, (had to have one to drive).

The 72 is stock and carbureted with OVD while the 76 has been modified. Along with basic refurbishments, the 76 has been upgraded with a compression ratio incr to 9.8 :1, upgraded tappets, springs, push rods, Goodparts GP2 cam and 1.65:1 roller rocker assmbly. Goodparts 6-2-1 header. Aluminum radiator w/ electric fan. And finally, a CP, Lucas Mark II fuel injection system. The car's suspension/ drive drain has been rebuilt with front and rear sway bars. Goodparts CV axles and hubs, a Nissan R-200 limited slip differential and a rebuilt stock trans w/ J-type OVD. (It is a real blast to drive.)

Hello Dave

Welcome to the forum.

You will find the Triumph section is very active so you are sure to get plenty of tips and advice for your TR6s. Are you going to keep the 72 when the 76 comes home?

A friend has a TR6 then he restored a second TR6 and was talking about selling the first one. His wife says "You are not selling my TR6"

He still has both cars.
