This is nothing short of phenomenal. A long shot comes from way behind to win the KY Derby!


To really appreciate how stunning this was, watch the overhead view someone sent me. (Watch especially starting at about 30 seconds into this video - that's when Rich Strike just explodes in a burst of speed that is reminiscent of Secretariat.)

Such an incredible win! I had to look the race up on the internet to watch him run, he was so far back in the pack for most of the race that he wasn't even in half the footage.

Right about the time the announcer says "Epicenter has taken the lead" is when Rich Strike just explodes!
 
Yes, that aerial view is amazing... seeing Rich Strike having to weave its way through the pack (and so quickly).
