Basil, how do you pronounce your name, please? In the British fashion, I imagine, with a short "a", like Basil Fawlty.
The reason I ask is that yesterday I came across someone who pronounced their name Baysil, like the American pronunciation of the herb. I'd never heard that before, despite living in the U.S. for 25 years or so.
