For our 25th wedding anniversary, my wife and I booked a Rhine river cruise for 2020. And we know what happened next..... Now it is a 30 years together trip - we met March 4, 1992. Where did 30 years go?? Things are a go now and we leave later this week. We're going to Basel (not pronounced like Basil! :D ) going up the Rhine river to Amsterdam, hopping over to Ireland and then back home. Hopefully all things go well, keeping fingers crossed. Any suggestions, recommendations for things along that route? I do have tickets to go to the Louwman Museum in the Hague, that looks AMAZING! I was thinking about going to the UN, but given the latest world events don't know if you can even get near there. Should be a fantastic and memorable trip, hopefully for all the right reasons.

Congrats on the anniversary! I don't know when you're leaving, but Basel has some great restaurants and museums:

Wonderful nature (and industry) to see along the Rhine. And in Amsterdam:

And of course, Ireland deserves either a day, or a lifetime:

When you said UN, I assume you mean the UN hq in NYC? not the UN in Geneva, Switzerland. I'm pretty sure the UN NYC is still closed to the public due to COVID.

Have a great trip!

Congratulations on the anniversary.

How long will you be in Ireland? If you have time visit the West coast, Kerry.

There is a UN office in the Hague, but as you said, the HQ is in NYC. That's the one I was thinking of.......
