Not I, but sounds like something worth taking a look at.
 
Leisure Suit Larry predated "online" gaming by years...I don't even remember there being a modem player-player function it was strictly single user.
 
That's how I remember it too. I had an illegal copy on a computer at work years ago. I think it was a DOS game. I actually thought about buying a copy later but the fun factor was not worth the price they wanted to me.

I think it was the first computer game I ever played - on a friend's computer - long before we got our own. That and the Leather Goddesses of Phobos.

I remember one of the first games I played was from the "King's Quest" series, called "The Perils of Rosella."
 
First iteration of "Wolfenstein" convinced me gaming was not for me. Too much of a time waster.

Unless you're like my oldest son - he spent aver free moment glues to Microsoft Flight Simulator. Today, he's a captain on a 737. Of course MS Sim isn't really a "game" per se.

I don't play games these days, but I used to also love the adventure games where you had to solve a series of puzzels to solve the whole game. Good brain exercise.
 
Hmm... I grew up in a family where Scrabble was blood-sport. And crossword puzzles were timed. o_O
