Just some medium force winds and much-needed rain here.

yeah, it was a bit windy but nothing over-dramatic. Townsend is fine. Maryville is fine. Gatlinburg is fine. Sevierville (where i live) is fine except my kids' bedrooms....which do appear to have been hit by tornados.

Hey, James - where ya been? How's the C GT doing?

i've been in the MGE Spitfire forum (did a rear u-joint job and then a dizzy swap) and have re-tuned the air intake ratio on the three carbs on the C. unfortunately, the wife has had health problems this fall and i have been consigned to driving boring modern vehicles because they are more practical for use as "dad's taxi."

James - good to see you back here again. Life gets in the way sometimes, eh?

Nice group of cars - and a GT to boot! What first got you interested in the British beasts?

i was looking for furniture for my first solo apartment in grad school and went to look at a couch. i didn't get the couch but i came home (during a tornado warning) with a '67 Sunbeam Alpine. it wasn't a runner but i later sold it to help fund a '77 MGB roadster. my wife would tell you that it has been all downhill from there. (my dad had a friend when i was a kid that had a couple ford model a...probably his fault)

I know the "downhill from there" feeling. When I first went to college, I needed something to drive. Parents thought a big old car would be safer than a sports car, so they got me a 1955 Jaguar MkVII saloon. Great car, but I sold it and moved to the list you see in my signature. Just remember, going downhill makes the journey faster, and more excitiing!
