I Think I'll Become a Football Coach

And that's college football. Lost is the meaning of "sports."

I have nothing against anyone taking whatever their employer is willing to give them. but you do have to wonder sometimes. and with the shift towards allowing college players to make money of endorsements those guys are only a step or two away from being employees and not students. I'm kind of sorry for the day when a guy playing or coaching might have another job outside the season to make ends meet.

When I was in college my coach was a high school teacher by day, then after school he would drive to the university to be a coach and THEN go to his night watchman job..... all that so he could provide for his wife and two young kids.

Be glad you don't live in Alabama where college football is the chosen religion (I hate that the Iron Bowl is two days after the Family Thanksgiving Event) and Nick Saban is the highest paid public employee in America.
Disclaimer - I may have graduated from the "other school."
