No banjo music, but I did meet up with Grantura_MKI there.
Beautiful country,& some incredible driving roads.I took the Miata,
as I haven't got the GT back,& haven't checked out the Midget yet.
I got stuck behind pickups about FIVE times - they'd drive
really slow through the "fun" corners,& refused to pull over to let
me by,so I had to follow them for miles.

great pics - and nice the other thread of cars!

I tried getting there by not using the GPS.Took the wrong highway,
but didn't figure it out until I went about 50 miles. It turned out okay,as it was
a great drive (Highway 220N) to Petersburg,WV.
I also almost ran out of gas,but luckily there was a small mini mart
in Pickins,WV that had A gas pump.It was (GASP!) $3.47 a gallon.

That is some beautiful driving country!

I would jump for joy at $3.47 a gallon. Back in your last state Doug, premium was $5.29 a few days ago.
here regular is touching $1.45 a litre so about $5.80 a gallon.

My old home state! It's a very scenic state with lots of great twisty roads.

Holy cow! I was annoyed that unleaded was hitting $2.97 locally. I guess I should be happy.

That (gas price) was strictly "tongue in cheek",
as it was at a place way out in the country.I was just
thankful it was there,as I didn't know if I could make
it the aprox. 25 miles to the nearest town.

Had to fill the Saab today. Fortunately, it is a rather small tank. Its turbo really likes as much octane as I can afford. Since it doesn't get many miles and doesn't have to be filled often, I usually pamper it. Today 91 octane pure gasoline was $3.48/gallon.

Was nice meeting you. These are some of the best driving roads I have seen….unless you are stood behind a slow truck!
I thought the gas was 3.39, but you maybe correct. He definitely has the market cornered.

I miss those roads. Most here are laid out in grids!
