A link of personal influence.

Both were known, both were friends. I was part of the FA effort to build the FA car. Ken was a former high school classmate of Mitsy's and a friend of mine as well.

Some strange stuff happens when we pursue our dreams.
Wow.

Myron died of a fat embolism. A few days later.

Small world as we discovered, eh Doc? :(

The facts are a bit different than the article would have us believe. Last race of the day, the decision was made to run both sports racers and formula cars in the same race. Friends who were there and saw it occur told me Kenny (Formula Ford) was coming up fast on one slow SR at a tight right-hander, went off course to try and avoid it. Another SR and Myron (Formula A) went off in the dust, that SR T-boned Kenny, Myron impacted with both.

From 1976 through 1978 Myron and his wife were my upstairs neighbors in Sewickley. Myron drove a Europa T/C to my Elan. We'd "nose-to-tail" run Blackburn Road for fun on occasion. A shorter, western PA version of The Dragon's Tail.

Kenny is the one standing:

Yep, Peter. As you posted that I was hunting a photo of Myron and going to mention the connection.

Myron on the false grid in the car purchased years before from Pete's dad. We completely changed the chassis to accommodate a Chevy 350, Hewland ZF transaxle, hand layup front end and rear wing made with aluminum sheet. Many mods to convert it to Formula A specs.
