Anybody Watch Jeopardy Anymore?

I can't bring myself to watch it since Alex's last show.
If you still watch it,what's your opinion?

I haven't. I gather they're doing guest host, but will never be the same. So I'd say let's pick absolutely clueless guest hosts and run it like a SNL skit. Say, Britney Spears or some real housewives. Then we can sit back and watch the train wreck...

We watch it when we can. Aaron Rodgers was host for two weeks and was very good. Anderson Cooper is now on. I do pretty well answering the questions but there's a lot I don't know especially pop culture and you have to be fast on the trigger. I did not get tonight's Final Jeopardy.

We were avid fans before Alex died, we started to watch one show after but couldn't get into it! Just not the same, we haven't watched it since.

I wonder who will end up with the permanent gig? I wonder if Alex had any input on that decision before he died? I hope it's someone good with broad appeal (Sorry, I can't stand Cooper).

I still enjoy it a lot (and have seen the various guest-hosts). I think Ken Jennings, who did it first, would be perfect.

Totally agree.

We're Jeopardy fans. Politics aside (Is that even possible anymore????? :rolleyes2: ), I thought Cooper did a fine job. As did Aaron Rodgers and Ken Jennings. Katie Couric, not so much, nor Dr. Oz. Mike Richards - maybe. Can't help but wonder how they've come up with potential hosts.

Mike Richards get my vote (y)

I didn't think I mentioned politics - without elaborating, I just don't care for Cooper. I'm sure we all have various personalities we each don't care for for whatever reasons - he just happens to be one that doesn't float my personal boat - although I'm sure he has the ability to do a credible job. I can't even wrap my head around Katie Couric or Dr Oz. Aaron Rogers on the other hand...

How about Michael Richards...now THAT would be fun!

Funny how we all react to the guests differently. I thought Aaron Rogers was stiff and slightly awkward... but for a football player did rather well. I guess he won the athlete Jeopardy contest (which surely earned him a spot).

I could probably (almost certainly) name TV personalities who, while I may like them, would turn off a significant portion of the populace. Whoever they pick in the long term, I hope it’s someone who will have broad appeal. Alex was such a guy IMHO.

Sorry - didn't mean to single you out. But like newsfolk of all stripe, he's caught his share of flak for his views. From the rankings so far, it seems he's in the middle of the pack. > The best and worst 'Jeopardy!' guest hosts, from Anderson Cooper to Ken Jennings < I thought he did OK - a bit surprised he ranked ahead of Rodgers.

Regardless, I do enjoy watching. The knowledge some of the players have is pretty mind-boggling.

I keep hearing that Mayim Bialik is on the slate for guest host. I would like to see her in that role. I agree
Rodgers was monotone at first, but I liked him at the end. Jennings and Mike Richards quite passable. I would certainly watch if Kramer had a gig. There can't be a substitute for Alex.

Bailik is awesome in her own right, she'd be a good choice. But IMHO, Jennings would be the best successor though.

Whoever it ends up being, I think we can all agree that Alex left some rather large shoes to fill.
