Where can I find my attachments?

In the last forum software, under settings I could find all the photos I have uploaded. I can't find them in any of my profile pages.I know the photos exist since I can see them in some of my posts. I am trying to put my sig back in my posts at the moment.

That is an excellent question to which I don't currently know the answer. I know the attachments all came over, but whether there is a way to access a list of your attachments as there was on the old software, I'm just not sure and will have to investigate.

I'm investigating whether members have the capability to view / delete their own attachments, but in the meantime, I, as admin, can view attachments and sort by member name. Is this the picture you used for your signature?

Thanks for hopping on this. It isn't a big hurry for me, so no coffee at 2AM for this. The flame Healey is my avatar. The sig photo was similar to this shot but just the carbs. Occasionally I like to re-use photos in new threads instead of uploading the same pic a second time.

Was it this one?

If so, you can link to it with this URL:

Code:

I think that was the original that I had in my carb. thread. I shrunk it down for the signature. This be the one I was looking for, but I had to load another copy of it here.

I do like the drag and drop ability of this new forum. I had the photo open in a viewer (not the folder where the file resides) and just dropped it into the forum software.

I think the drag and drop is great - I was constantly getting questions with the old software about how to add pictures to posts. This is so intuitive.

Just thinking out loud. What would happen if you copied all the attachments into the new media folder. For instance, I created a folder that is located at "> Albums created by GregW <" Is that something that could work? Could a script be written that would automate the process?

That was weird, the forum software turned my text into a link. Maybe this will work better. "community/media/albums/users/gregw.3952/"

That's easier said than done - and don't think I haven't thought about that. It would require some effort to build a database tool that would import the attachments into the Media center and maintain ownership associations.

Thank you for looking into it. This migration seemed to have carried over the most stuff. Though I am only seeing the finished product, not the hoops you had to jump through to get here.
