I'm told, though I have no memory of this, that my mother and sisters had the entire neighborhood out looking for me once when I went mising at about age 3 or 4. Apparently, I had fallen into a deep sleep "behind" the couch and when my mom and sisters could not find me, panic ensued. Not sure if police were called, but many neighbors were out scouring neighborhood and the woods and creek nearby. I'm told that I was eventually found.
 
Reminds me of the story about the little kid answering the phone, and
The boss asks if his father is home.
"Yes"
"May I speak to him?"
"No"
"Is you mother home?"
"Yes"
"May I speak to her?"
"No"
"Why no?"
"Because I'm not at home."
