T-Series Unknown British[?] Engine

The attached picture is an engine purchased for a TD but later determined it would not work and the owner put a different engine in the car. Now it is just sitting a a friends shed. Does anybody have an idea what it belongs to?
 
Looks to be late '60's, Triumph-like.

P'raps post this in the Pub section.
 
:iagree: First thought was TR4, but not sure of starter location, and don't think 4's had single carb setup. Maybe Spitfire/Midget 1500?

looks like mine - 1500 Midget (or Spitfire) - that's a ZS carb so post '75 (at least if it is a Midget)
