TR2/3/3A Wing nuts for gauge panel on TR 3

Hi,
Can someone tell me what size and thread are the wing nuts on the gauge panel of the TR 3? I lost mine and need to buy four new ones!
thanks,
Dennis

Haha I did not know they were wing nuts.... mine had regular nuts on them.

The brass whitworth wing nuts are difficult to find. Not off the shelf items unless one of the big 3 contracted some out. Marv may have some used ones, though?!?

I thought Triumph used US sizes wherever possible. I chased the threads with a 10-32 die
and felt no resistance at all ( & no metal shavings) so I bought 10-32 brass wing nuts at
the hardware store.

Funny, I always thought they used Whitworth as much as possible just to mess with us after that "revolution" thing, LOL. A few of the whitworths are close enough to retap to more standard threads. Others are not.

10-32 is 32 TPI 0.190 dia and 2BA is 31.36 TPI 0.185 dia so there is almost no difference between them. It may be harder to get a 2BA to nut to go on a 10-32 bolt than a 10-32 nut on a 2 BA bolt.

Will save the British nut joke for later.
