Would someone be able to give me the BMC part number for this...2.6 engine.

Just checking compatability with the Austin saloons which are AEC 475 (manual G'box)

Thanks for the offer HN. I don't actually own a Healey but the boring story is that the 2.6 powered BMC saloons have starters on differing sides of the engine.

I told a chap (erroneously as it turns out) that a 100/6 backplate would fit his Austin Westminster which has the starter on the manifold side.

The Healey starter is on the Distributor side as on the Morris/Wolseley saloons.

I should have known this but the mind is starting to play tricks!
