There are some clever people out there. I may not be one of them. However - I've belonged to several car clubs through the almost 70 years I've been fooling with cars and one of the best was the Corvair Club. Each issue was filled with hints and tips such as using a Cadillac heater motor instead of the undersized one the Corvair came with. OTOH, the Triumph Register was good for stories but short on tech tips and hints. This Forum is the best source of all. I don't know if anyone has done it or if there is such a book out there, but I would like to compile a book with tips and shortcuts for all DIY's, both car-specific and general. It can be my legacy to the hobby that has kept me going for so long.

Looks like a good article. Kind of like the ones they featured in Sports and Exotic Cars before Hemmings yanked the rug out from it. Apparently it was a money-making venture when they pulled the plug.

Better set a big budget, if you want it done right. I always like the craigslist posts of recently restored, $5000.
