44 and counting

Good to hear. You two are setting a great example for
the younger generations. We'll have 41 years (if she doesn't-
come to her senses) on the 27th.
I always remember that line from a movie, that went
something like this.....

Young Newlywed - "You've been married for 25 years".

Older Guy - "But not to the same woman".

November 23rd this year, 62 years, to the same woman! PJ :encouragement:

62 years Oct 7 this year. I'd ask her to marry me again but with the benefit of hindsight I'm afraid she'd turn me down.

Young whippersnappers! :highly_amused:

Secret to a long life, marry a good cook and remember, shes the boss of the house!!!:encouragement: I forgot that once, ONCE! never forgot since.

I wear the pants in my house... my wife just tells me which ones to wear.

:iagree: I can identify with that one Elliot, literally.

I don't know why, but this thread reminded me of a joke I like.

From the Headstone of Russell J. Larson, Logan Utah

FIVE RULES FOR MEN TO FOLLOW FOR A HAPPY LIFE:

1. It's important to have a woman who helps at home,
cooks from time to time, cleans up, and has a job.

2. It's important to have a woman who can make you
laugh.

3. It's important to have a woman who you can trust,
and doesn't lie to you.

4. It's important to have a woman who is good in bed,
and likes to be with you.

5. It's very, very important that these four women
do not know each other.

But take a look at Mr. Larsen's actual headstone:

Funny, never the less.

Actually I'm surprised to learn there is actually a headstone of Russel J Larson in Logan Cemetery - I assumed this was just a totally made up joke (well, the epitaph is made up). Since that joke has been floating around for years, I imagine Mr Larson gets lots of curious visitors.
