Wow - what a story. Thanks for posting! The whole "Nazis in British Crown Dependencies" situation blows my mind even today. Note the German troops marching past Lloyds Bank.

There is a new program on the old Velocity Channel (now Motor Trend) called "Autobiography" (get it, AUTO biograph).
The most recent episode was about Hitler's touring Mercedes... and tracing it and another such car all the way to the William Lyon Museum.
Fascinating stuff.
