Between you and Elliot
You need to get a life
That was fast

We didn’t mean to bug you don.

wow - Elliot hadn't even posted!

Mickey would probably be the best contact for you, but here's info on living in the Clarksville area:

https://www.cityofclarksville.com/

Lots of great open countryside down there.

Yep - let me know what you want to know. Lived in Clarksville from '01-'14; very nice city.

Dang Mick, you were right next door
He told me that the tenn. side was better

Just found out an interesting tidbit about living in Tenn and working in Ky.
You don't have to pay state income tax on your wages in Ky

Correct me if I'm wrong Mick.
I can see why most live there when working at the base...besides quality of life

Oh, and my apologies for the misspelling of the Fort's name

Not sure, Don. But there is no state income tax in TN.

Sales tax is high, though. Depending on location, state and local sales tax total is between 8.5 and 9.75%. I believe KY state sales tax is flat rate of 6% (no local tax).

That's is not high, that is about average.
We pay about 10 here

So you live in Tn and buy stuff in Ky

I'm sure some do. But unless you're right on the border, I wonder if it's really worth it. We never did when we lived in Clarksville.

I guess it also depends on what they have across the border.
Would only be good for BIG ticket items
