Sad news for a BCF member

I sent out a Thanksgiving Day greeting to the members this morning and heard back from one of our members, Tim, who had some really bad news. Seems his TR6, along with his home, was destroyed in the recent fires in California.

I hate it for him. I really do. It is crazy though that the car held up substantially better than every single thing in the house. Built to last back then.

That picture made national news and was on a couple of news programs with him being interviewed
If that's the car
But how many could there have been?

May well have been the same guy.

Distressing.

Lives lost, others' lives changed in ways never envisioned, escaping inferno with literally nothing but the clothes on their backs. With storms and hurricanes we have some warning and can gather what we consider important enough to run with and what to leave to chance. Those folks had only minutes in some cases, and no time at all, tragically, in others. True horror on an epic scale.

Really sad to hear that.

That is indeed sad news. At least he got out with his health, and hopefully insurance will cover the losses.
