This 948 Motor came along with Otto when we bought him..... A couple pics are attached.... eng number says
9CG-D<?>-H-10419 --- the <?> part is a blob / symbol, maybe an A, after the D.. almost like it was changed in some way. You can see it clearly in the pic.
I looked at the chart here: https://mgaguru.com/mgtech/engine/be100.htm and I can see the 9CG fits a MK1 Sprite.... but I can't find any reference to the other letters.
The seller we bought the car from thought his Dad had indicated the H meant it was High Compression engine and therefore hard to find or rare....
Any thoughts?
