This is pretty amazing. Almost sounds like the real thing when it flys over.

I’m impressed. Love the sound. Thanks.

RC airplanes always have such ridiculous power to weight ratios. The RC pilot is doing a really good job of flying it smoothly.

B-17s are always a treat to see, but the twin engine B-25 is actually louder with the combination of its Wright 2600s and short exhaust stacks. Grumman (or actually Eastern) Avengers are the same way. When an Avenger barks to life at an airshow, you know it! (Then again, I'm just a wee bit biased)

Never flew a TBF, but have flown a 25. B-25s were known to cause hearing loss after a period due to the short stacks combined with the propeller tips being only a few feet behind your head and close to the fuselage. To me, a totally different sound than most aircraft, plus normal conversation was impossible without headsets. What one hears outside, a good 50% of that is heard inside. I admire, but don't envy those who had to fly them on a daily bases.

We have occasional visits by different WW-II warbirds to the "executive" airport a couple miles from th' hovel. Love it when they come overhead, the sounds are distinctive. And seeing the belly of a B-17 at 600' on final is a thrill to me.
