Long Terms?

Hi David,

Been there, done that. :cool: On my 60 TR3A project, I actually used POR15 Whitecoat. It's like bathtub enamel. Hard as a rock. On my TR6, I used I used POR15 as a base and then their primer ( i think it's called ticoat) and then painted body colour over the top of that.

For the 250 project, I'm doing something a little different. I'm using upol epoxy primer followed by a top coat of upol Raptor Liner on the entire bottom of the car. I'll also be doing the inner fenders and the wheel wells as I like the blacked out wheel well look. I think the car should last another 50 years when I'm done with it.

Hey Tush! I hate when real work gets in the way of fun work. I guess with travel they have you instructing? At least in the spring it'll be nice wherever you go...
 
I think all the cars that are being restored will last 50 years +
When you consider that they lasted this long with little or no special surface preparation and then were driven in all weather. Now I imagine a lot will not be taken out if rain is forecast or careful dried if they get wet.
