Has anyone had issues with brand new DOOR window glass not being the same size as the originals?

I just installed a new Pilkington windshield on my BJ8 that I bought a few years ago. It fit perfectly; I've heard the 'no-name' glass doesn't fit well.

A friend of mine is having trouble with his door window glass. I person installed a new windshield about 4 years ago and it was good quality, I think it was a Pikington too.

Ah, my bad for not reading more carefully. I've heard elsewhere--likely on the email list--that, yes, some aftermarket window glass is not fitting well.

Does anyone know who sells the correct good fitting glass, or the bad glass?

I highly recommend: https://www.prosourceglassintl.com/. They sell the TripleX marked windshield (manufactured by Pilkington). Just fitted one in my BJ7 and went in perfectly. They also sell a less expensive one, but I have no experience with that one. Prices are much better than the usual suspects.

HealeyRick, could you describe the location of the Triplex logo on your replacement windshield? I've seen some new ones with logo on the lower left corner. The original windshield on my BJ7 has the logo located top center. Poor old thing is scratched, pitted and possibly delaminating at edges, but I'm still putting off replacement. GONZO.

I was inquiring about “window/door” glass and not windshields. My apologies for the misunderstanding.

It's on the lower left.

I also would wonder about the fitting quality of replacement side window glass. The first thing I think about is a little frame settling would have a significant impact on the fit.
