As a young Airman, and a West Pennsylvania "yankee" in 1970, I'd just taken posession of the keys to a small "bungalo" house-for-rent, four blocks from Buckroe Beach in Virginia. Decided to walk to a small Ma & Pa store closer to the beach for a pack of hot dogs and some buns. As I checked out and was leaving, Pa says: "Yallcombackanseusnaw, heah!" HUH?!? He repeated it and I realized what he'd said. I realized I had to adjust my "hearing" from that point.

I can tell you stories. I was there.

Clueless. Had no idea what to do with seven inches of snow. They plowed the streets with road graders (had no official snow plows) onto freeway on and off ramps.

Fly in, cab had to go all the way down into downtown Charleston, get off, come back (horrible) surface streets to Hanahan. 20-minute trip took 90.

And when I left for work this morning,I found out that some IDIOT
left one of the big garage doors open all night.First time I've had a garage door opener.
There was no snow in the garage,& nothing was taken from it.
