Tie Rod boots - urethane

Hi All,

First, thanks Steve for the lead to good replacement parts. This is something we need more of.

Is there a Tie Rod Boot Virus sweeping the land? Should I anticipate my boots disintegrating? What is the rush to purchase new?

I installed new boots form Moss in the early 1990s and they still seem to be doing good. But maybe that was when Moss parts had better quality on rubber and other replacement parts.

Have a Happy New Year,
Ray(64BJ8P1)

Ray, you also have a Happy New Year!

There's been a lot of ongoing discussion about Moss boots cracking quickly. I bought some in the early oughts when my car was off the road and they cracked before I got it back on the road. The Hyundai boots were a great exact replacement but they're no longer available.
