Will Mini Spin on Adaptor work on Bug Eye?

Has anyone used or does anyone know if a spin on oil filter conversion/adaptor from a Mini 948, will work on a 948 Bug Eye?

I anticipate the question is the fit in relation to frame crossmember and the filter unit.

Any information is appreciated.

Thanks

Your thoughts re the frame clearance are correct. The filter housing is the same for all the A series engines. However there are different extensions that fit between the filter housing and the block to provide clearance between the right hand frame rail.
See the pic of my setup. Note I am running an oil cooler so the pipe from the block to the filter is missing.

There is no 948 Mini but there are both 997s and a 998s.

As stated above, virtually any A-series filter head will bolt on IF you have room for/around it.

Thanks for the information and photos, very helpful.
It sounds like I will need "to wait and see if it fits" and if not improvise?

Im getting one from a mini (mistyped 948) A series and I don't know in advance what it looks like or its configuration.

Joe, are those pictures of adapters that have been modified per specific needs?
Are spacer blocks available if needed?

The adapters are from various A series engines. I cannot remember what was from what but they are the same adapter that is used with a regular bolt on filter.
Whatever adapter/spacer (or none) you are using for your bolt on the spin on adapter should justjust stay in place. Just replace the main bolt on filter housing with the spin on.

I have a 948 in my bugeye

Thanks for this.
Curious, the pressure valve and spring kit go in the body of the head?
Is located under the large nut in the block
located under and Just to the left of the oil pressure take off port.
