Sorry Don. It's hard losing a friend.

One of the toughest things I've been through. Condolences.

Looked at my wife on the way home and exclaimed
I'm never F@#$^#%@$@# doing that again

She looked at me with teary eyes and said
Get over it...we're getting a new puppy

Sheez!

Sorry for your lose. It is hard to lose a furry member of the family.

So,so very sorry. Treasure all the good memories.

Gone thru it, vowed to never again. Sorry, Don.

Sorry for your loss Don, that is always one of the more heartbreaking things to endure.

Nope, I'm not going through it again... well, one more time in maybe 5-7 years... but not again. We waited a few years before getting another, but not after the current little fellow.

So sorry Don. I've been there too and it is really hard to take.

Don, over the years we have had to do it 4 times. The first time we didn't stay with Gus and i hope he forgives me when we meet at the Rainbow Bridge in the future. We were with JayBee, Irish and Bailey each time. They all were ready to go and are much happier now. After Bailey, we've not got anymore animals because i don't want them to outlive me, which is getting closer and closer to being possibe. We waited awhile after Gus but all the others overlapped each other.
Remember the good times and the bad time fades as time goes by.

I hope the pain of his passing will soon fade so that only the happy memories remain. It's never easy, and it doesn't get any easier. My dachshunds are 15 and 16 and I know I'm going to be facing this probably sooner than later.

This is one of our pups, Muffin. She has diabetes, gets 2 shots a day, everyday. Special food, prescription food additive and has to eat 2 meals a day with cooked chicken to get her to eat the prescription foods. To keep watch on her 24/7, she sleeps by my pillow at night. Reality says she will eventually pass, I hate to think about it. Mostly blind now, she follows me everywhere. Yes I understand just how attached we can get to our pets and to loose one can be a terrible experience. PJ
