You've got until September to get out of there!

John -
I've put in some 10 hr days lately making sure that's gonna happen. Expect to have it on the road within the next month. Getting the long block installed this Saturday. I'll fit the manifolds, starter, etc, then charge the brake system with the DOT 5 juice and finish QA-ing the new wiring harness. Will trailer it back to Russ Thompson's shop in a couple of weeks for him to fire it up and make sure his build is OK.

Steve,

That is one sensational looking engine compartment, well done!

Could I ask why the two fluid reservoirs?

Cheers
Tony

I hope that fan never comes loose. It looks like it would eat the engine!

That's probably one of the more robust fan designs. Solid steel, one-piece center section with multiple-rivet SS blades. In my experience, the flex fans do the best job of keeping idle temps down (but can be noisy).

Looks great Steve !! Looks like a lot of work in a short time: Congratulations.

I have to ask about the fan; Looks like a BCS fan. Have you had it installed before the rebuild or is it a new addition? If you have had it for a while do you find it effective when car is moving slow or traveling in stop and go traffic?

Thanks for sharing your engine rebuild venture with us,

John

Yup - got it from BCS. Had it for years. Noisy. Car doesn't overheat but there are many variables here besides the fan.
