Another one spotted from my loooong (and long ago) bucket list.

Impressive! My uncle had a '67 Galaxie sedan - I still remember that car, and I had a school chum whose dad had a ragtop - once I got a ride - light blue with a light blue interior - seats were covered with that rubbery plastic that had a million puckered bubbles in it - Summertime with the roof down, all I remember is I stuck to the seat.

While we are on the topic - the other day I was browsing Kijiji - as I am wont to do and I am sure that there was a Galaxie of this vintage - a coupe - but it seemed more a muscle car - slightly more aggressive stance but mostly it seemed to me as though the rear C pillars were more raked - not a full on fastback but, just a little more.

When I went back I couldn't find the ad - could I have been imagining this? did such a car exist? (I know they had a 7 litre - but that doesn't seem to change the sheet metal)

Yep - I remember when that model came out - maybe mid-year '67...?

Did a search and found this one. Big beasts, they were!

that's it! now what was the model called?

I think that is the Galaxie 500 fastback.
Probably a 68 or 69
(Taillights look like 68)

The picture is a '68.

And I remember one model being called "Pro-Touring" or something like that. Don't know if that was an official name.
