View from our back deck this morning - a bit redder than this, actually, but made my coffee taste even better!

Well, the old saying, "Red sky at morning, sailors take warning..." is true! Raining pretty heavily less than a half hour after I took that picture. Thunder and lightning, too. Don't have to water the plants today!

looks lovely Mickey!

That's very nice! I love taking pictures of sunrises and sunsets. Depending on conditions they can sometimes be dramatic. This first picture was taken by my wife one spring morning. I use it for my desktop image now. If you look real hard in the upper right you can see the moon. The second picture was taken at sunset in May 2015. A T-storm had passed by and there was still a lot of virgo seen in the sky, which the setting sun was lighting up making it look like the sky was full of flames.

Way to make me jealous! I look out my window and all I see is cloud and drizzle.

Well, if it's any consolation, Steve, here's this morning's view - there's a mountain beyond the trees:

Years ago I worked at jasper Park Lodge - whenever there was a foggy morning we assumed it was because they had taken the mountains out to be cleaned.

Hey Mickey,

had a beautiful red sky sunrise yesterday.......& it thunderstormed all afternoon.
Bad timing to, since we had planned to have our daughters grad. Reception on the back deck!

We're in a weird weather pattern lately. Have had some terrific winds - must've been over 70 mph gusts here yesterday. Knocked down more trees - a couple on our property, but thankfully away from the house and garage. Drizzling off and on for a while now.
