I think all of us are going to Mark's house for dinner tonight!! That is a beautiful kitchen!!

And, PC, you are absolutely correct: Ikea kitchens only work for 90 degree corners and kitchens that can be divided into 15", 18", 24", etc. increments! (Fortunately ours is similar to Basil's, essentially two long runs of cabinets.)
 
In the house we flipped (my wife inherited and we re-did everything), the small kitchen turned out nice... and even though it was gutted, it only cost about $9,000 (in 2013). That included appliances, IKEA cabinets, granite countertops, and installation! We were very happy with IKEA.

Very nice kitchens. I believe kitchens mirror our personalities. Ah maybe I shouldn't say that. Some of us are hoarders, organized or not.
 
Before our remodel,I knew where everything went.Now I have to hunt
for things.Wife says that I "need to learn where stuff goes".
I just had to open my big mouth!
