Extremely sad news...Bruce Kirby

Anyone who had a Jag in New Mexico (and probably all over the US) knew of Bruce Kirby. Bruce was a good friend who helped me numerous times with my E-Type restoration. He was a guy who, on several occasions, was awarded the "Master of Masters" Jaguar Technician. A factory-trained Jag Mechanic, I first met Bruce when he was the lead Jag Mechanic at the local Jag dealership. Later, he opened his own business, Dr Jag, and I actually ran his Web Site for many years.

Well, this morning I learned (from my plumber of all people) that Bruce had committed suicide earlier this year. The plumber saw my E-Type in the garage and asked me how long I had it. He mention that he has a Bugeye. After some small talk, he asked me if I knew Bruce Kirby and of course I take him that Bruce was a good friend, although I'd not seen him in a long time. That's when he told me that Bruce had committed suicide. What a huge loss! I'm just in shock this morning. Bruce was one of those guys who would happily bend your ear for hours about wrenching Jags!
