Hi all,

I am wondering what designation is 1964 BJ8 HBJ8L27295. Is it Phase one or Two.

Thanks,

Does it have big Orange turn signal lenses front and rear?

IF so it is Phase 2

No, that is true only for later Phase 2 cars from body number 76138 -- at least by the BMC parts manual, although the BJ8 Registry has quite a few cars that don't conform to the parts manual for the configuration of the external lights. Some may have had shroud changes since they left the factory, but it's hard to imagine that all of them did. Early Phase 2 cars (to body number 76137) had the single integrated turn signal/parking light in front with a clear plastic lens, and at the back a reflector above a red plastic tail/stop light lens.
HBJ8L/27295 has body 72134, so it should have the early Phase 2 light configuration.
