And THIS from the same guy.

Brilliant.

"My Spanish Harlem Mona Lisa"!!

And he's still going strong. [still have my Abraxas LP!]

Yup. Saw him in concert here a couple years ago, Chic Corea showed up on stage completely by surprise and did half an hour with Carlos... remarkable!

Have my original vinyl Abraxas and a CD. Our Sony turntable needs new belts so the vinyl collection is "resting" now.

THX PC. I've had a good relationship with an outfit in Miami in the past, everything from microwave oven magnetrons and control boards to Betamax camera and recorder parts. Alas, they've succumbed to the "Internet wholesaler" syndrome and gone Tango Uniform. Have yet to do business with Needle Doctor but was aware of them through my bro. May have to get off a dime and FIX the thing... Spooky Tooth albums (early Gary Wright) from the early '70's are only on vinyl AFAIK.

I, too, got the CD.

Never seen Chic Corea live (but have a great many of his recordings). Lucky you!

Supernatural was the very first CD I bought. I have several of his older albums on LP.

To be honest, I haven't yet had the need to do business with them, either. But they've been around forever. I guess they're doing something right.

I remember seeing their ads back in the day in (now defunct) mags like High Fidelity, Stereo Review, Popular Electronics and (my fave) Audio. They're still taking out full page ads in current pubs like Sound&Vision.

I may need to avail myself of their wares in the not-too-distant future. My trusty deck has a decent table, a great tonearm and an OK cartridge. I'm getting the urge to treat it to a new cartridge.
