So things are really moving along now .
32X40 with 13ft ceilings , propane heat coming soon . Oodles of sockets for power anywhwere . I even have sockets in the ceiling for drop work lights .
16X10 high lift door with direct drive opener so no tracks in the way .
High level storage shelf to keep all that stuff that we collect up off the floor
All LED lighting . Drain in floor for the occasional bath , hot n cold water coming soon . :eagerness::eagerness::eagerness::eagerness:
 
:glee: way to do it! Get it now, easier than trying to add later.
 
Yep room for the hoist and the other cars without them being stored on the hoist . Got tired of playing musical cars when I wanted to use the hoist .
"Dad .........i need an oil change" and it takes longer to move everything around than do the oil change where I am now .

I have a bunch of air tools but dont use them that often . The sandblasting cabinet is my main air user so they will be right next to each other . For the few times I use air tools I will run hoses .

You do know that new toys will soon fill that space and that you won't be any farther ahead, don't you?:friendly_wink: Not sure what the name of the law is, but it says that any new available space will soon be filled.

Fishbowl syndrome. Seems I've been fighting it most of my adult life; had a 40 x 60 shop in Louisiana, and you had to turn sideways to walk between the cars.

Building a detached shop again a few years ago, the lot size limited the out-building to 35 x 40 because of the pond's easement, so even though the fish are on the outside, fishbowl syndrome got me again (and YES, the insides are just short of bursting).

Gotta have room for hoist height and maybe another Aston ...........well not until some bills are paid

If you have not seen garagejournal.com, don't. You will most certainly get hooked. Incredibly tasty garages. I have a garage thread on there...it has been a long time since I posted any updates. I'll probably wait until the BJ8 comes back from the restoration shop.
 
Toys are all moved in , heat is working , hoist is operational . Still some cleaning and organizing to do but seeing as we did get a few snow sprinkles today I think I have time to do it .
Ohhh hold on I do have bathrooms to tile hardwood floors to lay , windows to trim and she really wants a door on the bathrooms .......cant think why ???
Now where do I put the beer fridge ?? :welcoming::eagerness:

Thats HER midnight monaco blue with tan leather 2007 Z4 coupe .... the true coupe not the fat arsed foldaway hardtop coupe convertible . Its not the M but still a blast to drive . Paddle shift (my driving method) auto for her she cant do stick due to dodgy knee whick is getting replaced soon .
My only complaint about it is it has those awful noisy hard as iron run flat tires on it . As soon as they wear out its getting Michelin pilot super sports same as the Aston .

Nice! It cracks me up how many Healey owners also have Z3/Z4 & M Coupes/Rdstrs! I admit that it was because of the Healey Formula__long hood/short deck, I-6 3.0 (okay, 2.5-3.2 Ltr)__that I was drawn to the Z3/M Rdstr.

My Coupe is a bit older, a 1999 M. For a former owner/customer, I put a Eurosport Twinscrew supercharger on it ten (>10) years ago. In the paperwork included with the car__besides my own work orders__was a dynosheet showing 425 RWHP. I's a lot of fun :smile:

1.7 litre of air per revolution Opcon Autorotor positive displacement compressor. Boost pressure is about 8-1/2 PSI__instantaneously available right off idle :joyous:

Except for oil changes (inc. geardrive for compressor) a different strut bar, fresh plugs and a new air filter, the engine compartment hasn't been touched since the initial installation. Most reliable s/c setup I've ever seen (have done a few others, and have another twinscrew coming up next month).

I much prefer coupes over convertibles . The Healeys are fun to drive in the sun with the top down but the coupes just look better . My 62 Tri Carb project will be a coupe of sorts , the hardtop you can see in the pics will be on all the time and the car will be done rally style no bumpers lots of fog lights and the rally vent in the top . Probably with mini-light knock off alloys as well .
Thats why the Aston is the coupe and the Z4 , she originally wanted the drop top but after seeing them side by side she agreed that the coupe is a sleeker sexier model .
