So the Valve Cover on my 948 has two vent / vacuum fittings on it. What are these fittings plumbed to. Rubber hose to oil chassis underneath?

Interesting Heater Valve fitting. I haven't seen one like this before. Too pretty to put a wrench on the big knob to free it up. Now to get it off and see if I can free it up so it open and closes. View attachment 43627View attachment 43626

The front fitting should go to your air cleaner but the back one was added and should be plugged or removed (or just get another rocker cover)

Or better yet just fly Bill M to Dayton on an all expense vacation or talk him into visiting his brother and i bet you will be up and running long before August 6th.

Yes that's another alternative but what challenge is there if I do that. I need have the to personal achievement and fulfillment and the problem solving fixes that I solved to feel emotionally involved with this BE. Come to think about it, I probably need to chat with a Therapist on that topic.

Well, I kinda like the hose dropping down to keep the chassis oiled idea!

I already have one hose hanging down there already I don't need two.

Will be curious to see if I have copious amounts of blow by or not. Supposed to be a rebuilt engine.

Compression test tomorrow. I'll pride complete results.
