So that I could mount a round clock where the ashtray is now, I intend to have an instrument panel fabricated with five round holes instead of the stock four. Would anyone have an extra panel without instruments that could serve as a template? Cosmetic flaws are acceptable, but the shape should be correct. Or, does anybody have a better idea about how to achieve this?
 
A friend mounted a Timex wrist watch on his dash. Of course without the wrist band. Serves the same purpose.

I found a clock that clips onto the fresh air vent.

Thank you for your recommendations. What I have now is Caerbont Automotive Instrument (“Smiths”) Model CA1100‑01C electric clock https://www.smiths-instruments.co.uk/classic that has been modified with a domed lens and full-vee bezel to match the other instruments and whose setting button is mounted remotely. When my removed ammeter is repaired, I would like to install it but also keep the clock, hence my desire to have a new instrument panel fabricated using a stock panel as a template. If nobody has done this yet, then I guess I would be the first.

I do have a tracing that was made from my existing instrument panel, but I question its accuracy, so I am still hoping that someone would have a spare one to sell.

Why not install it in the glove box door, it can always be returned to original with a replacement door since you have a painted dash.
 
I have a panel that I removed when I installed a new one. Kept it just in case someone might want to copy it.

You can have it for the cost of shipping.
