For those of you who didn't know of Leroy, he was the leader of the "Nasty Boys: ... the modified Healey group who has recently passed away. His Healey stuff is being auctioned off in an internet auction. While it includes Leroy's nasty boys, there are also some items of interest to those with more standard Healeys. Here's the link: https://massartauctioneers.hibid.co...ersonal-property/?q=austin+healey&sortOrder=2

Well thanks i did not hear or see anything about his passing. He was a nice guy.

WOw!! I sure missed the notice. ?I was probably traveling?

Anyone know how the red/white BJ8 got bashed in? I last saw it at Conclave in Kingston, Ontario in 2009. I've seen Sue Joppa driving it in gymkhanas a few times.

Steve, I read earlier on the email list the following from Jean Caron:

Sue & Leroy had no children, so I imagine Leroy's brother feltthis was the best way to give an opportunity for the Healey community topurchase anything Healey related that they had. Sue's BJ8 was not rebuilt afterher accident at the 2014 British Sportscars Rendezvous in Minnesota. This carwas restored several years ago by Fourintune and then the Joppa's traveled all over the USA and Canada with it, attending Conclaves and otherAustin-Healey related events. If my memory serves me right, Leroy told me sometimesin 2008 or 2009 that they had put around 80,000 miles on it since beingrestored and it still ran perfect.

is there more info about the green car available on any other site? or does any of the group know much about this car? the auction ad does not have much info!
