i was starting to work on the seating position in my 100/6 two seater this morning. my car is a v8 conversion and i was trying to determine the best position for the throttle. i pulled out the seats that i thought were for the 100-6 and discovered that i have a mismatch set of seat bases and seat pans. could someone please look at the attached and help me determine what i have. i think the seat bottom frames are for bn1 and bn2. im not sure of the seat bases but they must be for later models. i am looking for a set of bottom seat frames for my 1959 100-6 and would like to do some trading on the bn1 and bn2 bottom frames. any help is appreciated!

The seat frames are the ones that were used in 100s, however they were also used in BN4s up to March 1958 and maybe even in early BN6s using up the leftovers. The wooden seat base is correct for the seat bases that you have. The metal seat base is for the thin seat frames for BN6s onwards. Interesting you say that you 100-Six is 1959. If it was earlier the seat base would have been correct. In reality It doesn't really matter, most people don't know the difference and I don't think it affects the value of the car.

i would prefer to use the later seat frame. if anyone has a set of bottom seat frames....the part that bolts to the rails...i would be interested in buying them. pm me or email to maxwedge5281@charter.net
